ANNE ET VALENTIN


After studying optics, art, and fashion in Paris, designer Anne Valentine opened her own eyeglasses store in Toulouse in the south of France in 1980. In 1984, she started producing eyeglasses at her own store with her husband Alan Valentine. In 1992, she debuted as a full-fledged house brand. Since then, she has had her own factory and has been vigorously developing the brand.

Ann Valentine's brand concept is "THE PLEASURE OF BEING MYSELF." The goal is to bring out the wearer's individuality and charm, and compared to other brands, their glasses often use strong lines and vivid colors. They are designed to treat the face as a canvas on which to paint, so the design makes it easy to see the wearer's charm when they wear them.

The environment of Toulouse, where Anne Valentine first set up shop, has had a major influence on her image. The rich natural colors and architectural structure of Toulouse, also known as the "Pink City" (la ville rose) and the "Cité des violettes", have had a major impact on her designs. Another major feature is that the brand uses its own cellulite colors rather than existing cellulite colors to express the colors of her designs. The skilled craftsmen at the company's own factory who accurately turn her designs into eyewear also contribute to Anne Valentine's appeal.
